I’m a Christian author passionate about helping the grieving find hope in God. Through writing, Scripture, and honest conversations about grief, faith, and life after loss, I hope to remind people that they don’t have to navigate grief alone.
My heart is to offer encouragement to those who are grieving and help the people who love them learn how to walk alongside them with compassion, understanding, and hope.
Cat is the author of a soon-to-be-published Christian study for grievers and those who love them. Written from the perspective of people who have lived through profound loss, the book explores the effects of significant loss and the ways God meets us there. It doesn’t promise easy answers or tidy journey. Instead, it offers honesty, Scripture, compassion, and hope for those learning how to live in a life that looks different than the one they expected.
Her own experience with loss has profoundly shaped the way Cat writes about grief. She understands that grief is not something we simply “get over,” nor is there a prescribed timetable for finding our way forward. She writes for the person sitting in the messy middle—the person who may be carrying sorrow, unanswered questions, unexpected triggers, and a future that looks nothing like the one they imagined.
Cat’s faith is at the heart of her work. She believes God does not cause the evil and suffering we experience, but He can meet us in it, redeem what has been broken, and remain present even when His presence is difficult to see.
Whether she is writing about grief, faith, life after loss, or the ordinary stories that make us human, Cat’s goal is the same: to tell the truth with grace, make room for hard things, and leave people with a little more hope than when they first arrived.
Cat lives in North Carolina, where she writes, works on far too many projects at once, and continues to discover that some of the most important stories are the ones we never planned to tell.
