People are human and sins/mistakes/damage can range from mild to enormous. In the end, we only have control over ourselves and our actions. If we make amends for our wrongs, then we might just get a chance at redemption, but not in everyone’s eyes because some people prefer the experience to define us rather than the growth from it. I’m not saying that all people who have committed wrongs have admitted wrongdoing and made amends, I’m just saying that generally society likes to pigeonhole someone into a box that they might have already climbed out of.
